Client Brief

To design and implement a simple, but stylish, low maintenance New England-style garden.

Plan to Garden Approach

The orientation of the property had changed and the repositioned driveway has been made a major feature by lining with pleached limes. These have been under-planted with escallonia, with alternate buxus and lavender balls set in cobbles to the front. Surrounding the new lawn are beds with structure plants to give height, shape and form.  A new yew hedge has been planted along the boundary, and we have constructed a wooden decked veranda with surrounding balustrades. Olives grow in pots on the veranda and smaller pots are filled with colour.  The overall effect is one of calm and relaxation.
